Over the past few years I've been involved in reviewing and trying out various software packages that claim to "turn your pc into a Digital satellite TV with access to thousands of channels".

Last year alone we tested about 45 different packages. Some of these were free but others we had to pay for. Some of the free ones had spy ware and we stopped using that.
